Another popular location for the Local music scene of Corvallis is the Whiteside Theatre. A long standing venue of the community, in recent years has been host to many local bands. Most recently there was a performance that included 3 bands from the surrounding area.

Opening the show at Whiteside Theatre is the black metal band Fosphene. This was their second performance. Their music is inspired by the dark themes of Niche and nihilism. After playing a 30 minute set Fosphene was followed up by the Portland based band Titans of Industry. This band identifies as psychedelic punk rock and gave the audience a performance that had the feeling of being in a psychedelic trance. The headliner for this concert is the local stoner rock band Mountains of Deimos. Their performance was like no other, including an overarching story throughout the music and a narration that could be heard overhead. Laser lights added to the other worldly feeling of the story and a video playing in the background helped to complete the story.

The Whiteside Theatre hosts a multitude of events, the next concert coming up is Slippy & the Sheets on Friday April 4. Tickets can be purchased online or at the door before the show.

Many shows in the Corvallis music scene are word of mouth. Being a close community there is a lot of support for follow musicians and lovers of music in Corvallis.
